Wednesday Wellness Tip! Be Disciplined!

When it comes to wellness if you are not disciplined you will not stay well. Disciplined people take time to dot their I’s and cross their T’s so they get done what needs to get done even if it’s a painful, time consuming, boring or not fun, and requires some financial investment or even movement because sometimes you just don’t want to move. In order to master your wellness routine you have to make up your mind that this is what you want to do no matter what happens and when you do that, when you make that commitment to yourself you will definitely be a disciplined person and make sure your wellness goals are met every day for the rest of your life. True, we fall by the wayside sometimes, and maybe we get sick no matter how well we seem, or we cheat on our diets or start talking negative to ourselves and about ourselves. This is human behavior, none of us are perfect but we can train our minds to think well about being well. This is discipline. Just training yourself to do what you say you are going to do and just get it done. Discipline is making a decision and following through on that decision to jog in the morning when it’s cold outside and you hate the cold weather. Discipline is choosing to repeat affirmations daily while driving to school or work and wearing your headphones or earbuds on the bus to school and not allowing notifications to distract you (you can turn those off you know temporarily, lol, I do it all the time). Discipline is meditating or doing your prayer time every day before anything else to get your spiritual juice and take care of the physical part of you that only cares about its flesh even when you are tempted to cater to your flesh. Discipline is making healthy eating choices even if what you choose to eat has to be acquired, you do it anyway.
Discipline is well, disciplined. Mind control in a good way. If you can get in someone else’s mind and give them a suggestion and it works, try it on yourself instead and control yourself not other people. That takes discipline too. Mind control is an epidemic. When you get to a breaking point in your life and that breaking point doesn’t lead you to self-destruction because you are tired of self-destruction and harming yourself, and you decide to use that breaking point to push you to wellness then you have made progress your business. Your efforts to feel good, feel happy, have joy, be healthy, listen well, care for yourself, care about others and do good in the world is all about wellness too. This is discipline. A decision. A choice. Solid. Worthwhile. Steady. Determined. Disciplined. Condition. Code. Train your brain. Make discipline a priority and be well…..
