Thoughtful Thursday - Back Off!

We live in a world where we all have free will. I suppose it is a gift from God or is it a curse? I guess it depends on how you look at it. You see if we have free will that means God does not completely control us. He allows us to do what we want to do good or bad and that means we are our own person in control of our own actions. Which means if we do bad stuff we will suffer the consequences. Thanks God for leaving us to our own devices. LOL! If we didn’t have free will we would be robots completely controlled, coded and monitored by God. I think I prefer free will. With free will we are not allowed to control another person because they have free will too which means if we get in our friends faces, our family members faces, our older children’s faces, our significant others faces or anyone’s face and try to control them and their actions then we should be ashamed of ourselves. If God allows us to make our own decisions and go our own way then none of us has the right to make other people do what we want them to do. That doesn’t make any sense. God allows us to do what we want but you will have consequences and mankind says I don’t like what you are doing so don’t do that anymore. Huh? I think God had it right and since mankind is “under” God, less powerful, governed by God and made in His image then shouldn’t we be thinking like Him? Yes, God gives us free will so our only job is to allow others to exercise their right to use their free will. If the desire to control another person or boss them around comes over you I suggest you remember that person has their own brain and is probably capable of making their own decisions. Unless you are instructing or guiding a child or someone who is mentally incompetent, I suggest you be more thoughtful and let people exercise their free will. People who try to control others are usually out of control and they think they need to find someone to take over so they feel better but this will on push that person away and make you look bad. The only person you can really control is yourself so I encourage you to do that instead. Be thoughtful…..Back off!
